Stuart Wilson, PT, MS
Physical Therapist
Stuart completed a
Master’s of Science of Physical Therapy at Regis
University in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science of Exercise Sport Science from
Colorado State University, Fort Collins, 1997. He has worked in Denver and
Steamboat Springs as a Physical Therapist before starting Champion SMPT in
2003. Stuart created Champion SMPT to provide a clinic that offered exceptional
patient care and state-of-the-art Physical Therapy treatment. He loves to
mountain and road bike, play ice hockey and soccer. Stuart enjoys walking his
dogs Kona and Kea and his favorite food is Pizza. |

Tami Struessel, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC
Physical Therapist
Tami has
been named "PT of the Year- 2009" by the Colorado APTA!
Tami has been a Physical
Therapist since 1991 and on faculty with the University of Colorado Physical
Therapy program since 2004. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Pittsburgh, Master’s from Rocky Mountain University in Utah and
Doctoral degree from the University of Colorado. She obtained a Manual Therapy
Certification through St. Augustine University and is an Orthopedic Certified
Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. As a member of
CU’s faculty, Tami is currently involved in research projects assessing the
effectiveness of various physical therapy interventions on disorders of the
spine and knee. She serves on the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory
Agencies (DORA) Physical Therapy Advisory Committee. In her free time, Tami
enjoys all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. She also loves to
travel domestically and internationally. |

Cheryl
Thompson
Physical Therapist Aide
Cheryl graduated in 2007 with
her B.A. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. Over the next year she
gained experience in the field of physical therapy working as a PT aide in an
outpatient orthopedic clinic. She relocated to Denver a little over a year ago
for a change of scenery and has now been a part of the Champion Team since
moving here. She is looking forward to continuing her education in the field of
physical therapy in the near future. Her interests include traveling and
learning about various cultures. She enjoys music and dance, as well as spending
time outdoors; whether it is hiking or snowboarding in the mountains or doing a
number of different water activities, but most of all she loves spending quality
time with family and friends. |

Shannon Gore
Office
Manager
Shannon earned a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Sociology in 1993 from The University of Dayton. She earned her
certification in Hatha Yoga in 2001. As a yoga instructor and former social
worker, Shannon has much experience with helping others to better care for their
mind, their body and their spirit. She was first introduced to physical therapy
in 1995 when a car accident resulted in the need for therapy. It was a positive
experience with Physical Therapy and a new
found love of yoga for maintenance that kept Shannon feeling well physically and
beyond. Shannon spends much of her free time enjoying live music and dance,
travel, hiking and her friends and family. |
